Course 9.5: Improvisation: Acting without a script
Improvisation is a form of acting which is most suitable for stage performance. Sometimes, screen actors will also do some improv parts, but only for a few seconds in an entire episode or movie. But in improv theatre, the whole show is played without a script or prior rehearsal.
Does this mean there’s no rehearsal whatsoever? Of course not! I’ll tell you more about that later on. First, let’s take a look at the origins of improv theatre.
