Course 6.7: The audience
Hi! You’re watching the seventh lesson of our ‘Introduction to stage acting’. In the past few lessons, you’ve learned the basics of being a stage actor. But one important ingredient is still missing: the audience! In the end, they will be there, so it’s good to be prepared.
In your rehearsals, you will get acquainted with acting in front of an audience a little bit, because not all actors will play at once. So some of your fellow actors will be your test audience. And of course, the director is watching as well. You’ll get used to playing in front of the other actors, which is a good thing, because that means you won’t have a nervous breakdown when you have to perform for the real audience. But still, the audience at the show will feel a whole lot different from your colleagues at the rehearsals.
